Find out what it takes to grow in your walk with the Lord.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
Are You Growing in Christ?
From the moment we become believers, we should grow in our relationship with Christ. Unfortunately, due to various factors, many of us never grow in our walk with the Lord. Sometimes, this is due to a lack of discipleship or a lack of support from other Christians. In either case, it is vital to start working on your relationship with Christ as soon as possible, even if you have struggled in the past.
How to Grow in Jesus
Many people think that we have to possess special knowledge, undergo intensive training, or go to church every Sunday to build our relationship with Jesus. While all of these things can be helpful, they are not required for true growth. We can grow in our relationship with Christ by simply:
- Talking with Him in prayer
- Reading the Bible
- Leaning on Him, and
- Applying the teachings of God's Word to our lives.
Matthew 22:37-40 says...
"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
So… are you still growing in love, grace, and the knowledge of Jesus Christ?
